Siddhu and Diana Ayanna are no strangers to the music industry. Their love of music, textural rhythms, fashion, glamour, mysticism, and all things artistic, led them to merge forces and create the Kama Sutra Lovers as an avatar for their creative energies.
This hot new duo is exploring new dimensions of DJ'ing and live electronic music on stage using drum machines, synths, live vocals, and laptops running Ableton Live.
With these elements, the Kama Sutra Lovers not only reference the history of modern electronic music performance and DJ culture, but move into it's next phase: the exciting combination of live performance using drum machines, synths, and vocals, with on the fly remixing and deconstruction of tracks on a granular level with micro loops.
Their innovative and unique show has been recieved enthusiastically by audiences at the most prestigious and musically orientated venues and parties in Paris, France.
Their profile on the internet is growing rapidly: they have had over 34,500 song plays on MySpace alone, and the first edition of their “Live Machine Mix” podcast series is seeing tremendous success with over 2,127 logged downloads with 1,327 through iTunes.
Additionally, “Analogue Processes” a sample pack produced by the Kama Sutra Lovers is included in the boxed version of Ableton Live LE 8.
Poised to be a major breakout act, The Kama Sutra Lovers are launching a label in partnership with one of France's most respected electronic music label in summer of 2010. They are currently in studio finishing several EPs scheduled with releases starting in summer 2010.
Their unique signal processing gives their beats a powerful punch and adds a silky, sexy shimmer to their signature brand of DirtyHorny-TechHouse-MinimalFunk!
